Upon leaving Angelo State University in 1980, Cliff Smith began a lifelong career in the oil and gas business as a pipe salesman. In 1983, he founded the company that would grow into Smith Pipe of Abilene, now Petrosmith. Cliff guides Petrosmith with leadership, integrity, vision and an optimistic eye toward the future and the oil and gas industry.

Kenny Freeman has been in the oil and gas industry since 1976, serving at Permian Tank, Enertech Energy and Palmer Tank Company. His experience led him to Petrosmith where every day he strives to push the company to the largest and #1 tank company in the United States. To make this a reality he and his team focus on ensuring each and every customer has a direct contact, getting them the quality equipment needed to complete the job.
Mr. Rocky Dyer

Coating Manager

Rocky has been in the oil and gas industry for 37 years and has been coating pipe for 26. He has also been installing fiberglass lining for 9 years with Duoline/ Precision Lining Systems. Before moving to Petrosmith to become the general manager he was operations manager with Precision Lining Systems. Rocky is leading the Petrosmith Coating plant to be the best in Texas. Everyday his plant strives to be #1 in quality, safety, and cleanliness.
Mr. Frank Garrard

Director of EH&S

Frank Garrard is a Certified Safety Executive through the World Safety Organization and has been in the profession of EH&S since 1979. Twenty of those years were with Enron/SNC-Lavalin. Frank’s experience spans globally across union and non-union business sectors of general & construction industries, oil & gas, metal & steel fabrication, power and medical. Through this experience, Frank has brought to Petrosmith an EH&S program infrastructure, statistical monitoring processes, on-site injury care & management, auditing processes, expanded training processes and an overall increase in safety awareness and activity.
