Mr. Cliff Smith

Founder

Upon leaving Angelo State University in 1980, Cliff Smith began a lifelong career in the oil and gas business as a pipe salesman. In 1983, he founded the company that would grow into Smith Pipe of Abilene, now Petrosmith. Cliff guides Petrosmith with leadership, integrity, vision and an optimistic eye toward the future and the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Rich Kobor

CEO

Upon graduating from Engineering school in 1986, Rich has worked in and led capital goods manufacturing companies in the steel fabrication, precision machining, and profession tool markets. Throughout these experiences, the keys to success were always the same: focus on the stated and unstated needs of the customer, improve and streamline processes that impact the customer first, and treat every associate with respect and dignity. A native Texan since 2018, Rich and his wife, Laurie, reside in Abilene.
Mr. Michael Duffy

President

Michael is a customer focused operations and sales professional with 25 years' experience in the manufacturing sector. Throughout his career, he has provided engineering and manufacturing leadership for industrial equipment companies servicing the refrigeration, plastics, and oil and gas markets, with a focus for continuous improvement and scalable process simplification. He holds a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. A Michigan native, he presently lives in Abilene, Texas.
Mr. Kenny Freeman

Sales

Kenny Freeman has been in the oil and gas industry since 1976, serving at Permian Tank, Enertech Energy and Palmer Tank Company. His experience led him to Petrosmith where every day he strives to push the company to the largest and #1 tank company in the United States. To make this a reality he and his team focus on ensuring each and every customer has a direct contact, getting them the quality equipment needed to complete the job.
