HYBRID SEPARATORS
A Hybrid separator can be a combination of a heater treater and HP separator into 1 vessel, and can have added meters. Normally the differentiation in the combined vessels to form one vessel is the pressure rating. A Hybrid vessel can be used for an Allocation vessel, or a Bulk separation vessel, or even an Gas scruber. Hybrid separators can also be called a Hi/lo Separator or Hi/lo Heated Separator if a heating element is added to the design. Hybrid vessels are designed to provide control to the operator with as less equipment and ancillary instruments as possible, overall they reduce facility footprint.
